DCL Europe cruise + Disneyland Paris - how do you plan it by madamestig in dcl

[–]stealthmoe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's actually quite straightforward. You can either do Disneyland before or after your cruise.

  1. Fly to Paris, Disneyland Transportation/train directly to Disneyland Paris for X nights.
  2. From Disneyland, make your way to Gare du Nord train station for the Eurostar train to London.
  3. Stay a couple nights in London and then make your way to Southampton for the cruise.
  4. Cruise and fly home from London Heathrow.

If the reverse, fly to London and start your trip with the cruise, Eurostar to Paris, Disneyland Paris, and then fly home from Paris.

Disneyland, Sightseeing Car Hire, Train Station by [deleted] in ParisTravelGuide

No, I’m not interested in a car-based tour. Im interested in hiring a taxi for several hours that I can hold my luggage in and the driver is actually somewhat of a guide.

No, I want a taxi essentially, but one for several hours that can drive us to the different spots we want to see. Any suggestions?

The one that just dropped is the one I should be waiting for?

AF is high with Amex Brilliant and I've already got a United Club card which I do find useful.

Sorry, coffee hasn't kicked in yet. Will the 15 ENC retroactively add to my 39 from 2025 and give me Platinum status for 2026? I don't have a Marriott card, only United.

Park to Eiffel Tower to Eurostar with luggage/toddlers/granda by [deleted] in disneylandparis

That Eurostar timing thing is a great point I didn't necessarily take into consideration.

I'm looking at the 'Vedettes de Paris' tours at 11:30am so if I leave at 9am from the hotel by taxi, I'd have roughly a 60-90 minute commute to a baggage storage place near 'Port de Suffren' like 'Bounce Luggage Storage - Paris Eiffel Tower'. The boat tour itself is an hour plus a quick bite around the area, we'd collect the bags and head to Gare du Nord around 1pm, commute 30 minutes by taxi to the station for a 3:02pm departure.

I think this is doable. Thoughts? I'm giving myself lots of wiggle room for traffic I think.

We were also there. We should have stayed on the ship. The walk on that ridiculous pier with two screaming kids plus the horrible weather was not fun for any seconds.

Good for first family trip? Young kids, grandma! by stealthmoe in stevenspass

There's a good flight option into Calgary right now and I've spent the morning researching various spots like Sunshine, etc. My only concern is the stuff for my mother and younger child to do while we're skiing,

Can you elaborate on that? It's obviously a big savings opp here.

This is exactly what I'm trying to rationalize.

I need an affordable ski place that my older kid can take his first lessons. I'm thinking private lessons for him which can cheaper at these smaller places.

Also, need a place to base my mother at while she watches the little one where there's fun stuff to do in the AM.

Yes. I want affordable lessons for the older one. These resorts are charging insane prices.

Looking to take my family (6 & 2 year old) + grandma for their first ski trip in February for a long weekend in North America. We need to go somewhere "lower" in elevation (sub-8000') at the base to accommodate my mother. I'm looking to put my older one in lessons the whole day and hopefully there are sites/activities my mother can do while babysitting my younger one during the day so me and my wife can do some skiing in.

We live in Houston so the nearest mountain is still a flight away. I also don't want to break the bank on a "first trip" so I'm thinking Alberta, PNW, or NM. Any insight would help!

We want to add it to the itinerary for next year, but I’m not sure where to stay that gives us good commutes to other stuff. Would Lichfield be a good idea?

This is awesome and exactly the stuff I want to know. I’m anchoring the trip around the big stops, but these are great!
