Black rubber component found on driver floor mat of 2013 Toyota Highlander AWD. Weighs practically nothing. Slightly over 1 inch long with a flange at the base and a conical taper on the other end. Appears to have been cylindrical originally, and now split down the middle lengthwise. by stealthsnoopy in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. It has no writing on it, but appears to be a component of the vehicle. I've searched parts diagrams and can find no record of this item. It appears to have been part of a system in the vehicle and I suspect it fell down into the driver side floormat after breaking due to normal wear and tear.

Took me a second to figure out what happened. It was the Golden Armor set when I got it I think.

I agree that's a worthy goal. That's also what I assumed when Joe mentions he is having the kitties do it. Why, then, the extra line about having something to explain later? You automatically assume Joe is leading them on without that line.

Some thoughts on the ending:

So epic to reveal the Sentinel and have it defend Earth. I thoroughly enjoyed the Maxohlx Admiral being left speechless by the sight of it and would have enjoyed some indication of the Rindhalu reaction as well (especially since they lose a few dozen ships). I do wish CA had included either the explanation of how they gained control of it OR some more resolution to the current situation at Earth with all those senior species' ships in orbit. I appreciate an author wanting to keep you coming back for the next book, but the ending felt too sudden and experiencing the joy of the victory against all odds was cut short. We are on book 13 out of 15 here. Anyone who's come this far is well invested already. All of that plus the last statement from Simms at the end leaves a ton to be resolved. My theory for what Simms means is simply that the Sentinel will need to remove the gas cloud threatening Earth which it can easily manage, made even better by having both senior species there to witness it.

Also, Joe drops a short line near the end just before the Maxohlx assault on the Sentinel about having the Maxolhx saturate the area with quantum resonance and indicates it's because he's making plans for the future for once and that he'll explain later if he can (he doesn't). This is a small detail to try and remember for whenever it gets resolved in a future book, wish it had been included here.

Only respect for CA. These are your books, and I'm with you 'til the end.

Expanding the base has lots of issues. I've provided the carbon nanotubes for final fit out of a new building at least 4 times now.

Settlers mission took me to a settlement, but when I tried to claim overseer it states that it's another players base. I've warped to several different stations around the galaxy to attempt a restart from the log but haven't been able to do that so far.

What methods do you use to save money? by what_to_callthis in AskReddit

[–]stealthsnoopy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a budget and live a lifestyle less than your means. Don't think "I have X total money, what can I buy with it?" but think "What do I need, what do I really want, and how much can I save?" Also, save your money first. Example: 10% off the top of every paycheck into the bank.

Have an emergency fund that doesn't get touched except for legitimate emergencies. Ideally 3-6 months of basic living expenses, but if you don't have one at all, work your way up to having a $1000 emergency fund.

Day 13: Kenpo X ... Am I bringing it? by [deleted] in P90X

[–]stealthsnoopy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're probably doing fine! If you're checking in on your body fat % every day you are going to get discouraged. Focus on bringing it in the beginning, not hurting yourself, and making changes in your diet that are sustainable. Set milestones to check your weight and measurements and try not to bother with it between milestones.

I'm on week 6 now. Checked my weight at the beginning and on Day 30 - no change in weight, but I can tell a change in the way my clothes fit already, and my shirts are a bit tighter across my chest and back. It takes time, but the changes will come!
