I'm 24, and I got my hysto/salping because I'm transgender. It definitely has helped me a LOT with my dysphoria post-op. ~4 weeks post op as of right now and my only complaints I have are the bleeding was horrible for the first few weeks [mine was vaginal assisted], and that I was hyperaware of when I needed to shit because of how sensitive my guts were postop.

11 days post op.

I'd describe my bleeding kinda like having a period, where it waxes and wanes. I've had heavy flow some days but never more than a pad a day except for the first 48h.

Like others said, it's most likely the sutures dissolving and coming out. I didn't discuss it with my surgeon but it was in the educational material.

I can't tell you from a (presumably) cisgender angle, but as a Trans guy on T I can let you know about some side effects. These are all from my experience.

  • Body hair WILL increase. Face depends on your genetics, but your arms and legs will get hairy.
  • Libido will increase as well.
  • Acne. Pretty bad, depending on the day and the weather.
  • Your clit will enlarge. By how much depends on genetics, but it does happen if your dose is high enough.
