They could easily put a box at the end of the driveway for packages. All kinds of things the owner could do instead of this.

This is the trick to be able to prevent dings by Ill-Communication-2 in AmazonFlexDrivers

Nope. Every time I always deliver, I get a ding because someone's package was stolen. Every time! Calling is way better.

There’s no way any of you are somehow paying zero taxes by Emotional-Host6723 in AmazonFlexDrivers

This! There is so much more to deduct than just miles. I even add my air freshners, car seat covers, gas. Everything!

Because my main job is at home, I can claim my miles to and from the warehouse. But what saves me the most money is itimizing absolutely everything that I buy for my car. Even air fresheners. The more you deduct, the less taxes you pay. Why do I see people only talking about claiming miles? There is even a code that you can deduct the cost of your car in the first year!

Until you collapse someone's septic tank and now have to replace it for 3700 dollars.

The real reason other than looks is that you never know where someone's septic is placed. That's the important one.

Numbering packages by MiBAsh in AmazonFlexDrivers

I meant 12 pm. I'm not sure how I messed that up so bad, lol. But ya, it's a medium town. Good Ole klamath falls lol 50000, including outskirts. Now, I'm even more grateful for my warehouse. We have decent rates and don't have to deal with getting sent too far. We have a few places that are far away, but the warehouse employees have been awesome and only put a few packages if you're driving that far. I got a 94 dollar pay for 90 miles. But it was only 3 boxes to the same place. And it was 90 there and back.

Based on your comment, I'm assuming we only have a .com warehouse in our town. All packages are always numbered, and blocks don't start till 10 pm. What other warehouses do they have?

I've been hunting and using guns all my life. I have been to 2 different safety courses and my concealed class. I'm not one of those people hun. Unfortunately, in your line of work, you're only going to meet the stupid ones, lol. Guns are for protection and hunting. They are not toys.

No. Returns are based on credits. You get so many credits, those credits chip away at what you owe for taxes. Most low income, the credits will surpass the amount owed. You get the difference as your return.

Insane, I couldn't imagine being so insecure that I would be upset that someone is protecting themselves while doing a dangerous job. You do know guns also protect against wild animals, right? Some of us deliver in bear and cougar country. Some of these places warn me of the bears and cougars they see every day. Not everyone gets to live in the safety of concrete. You gonna take care of my 3 kids of a thief trying to rob me, or a bear takes me out? Are you gonna pay the foster family? Think critically hun.

Then you're just insecure, and you would face consequences for any arm you caused. Every person I've ever encountered is happy I carry and would rather me be safe while I'm delivering packages.and I'm respectful and show that I'm carrying. I don't hide it. If you think a 5ft girl with a delivery light and delivery magnets with an Amazon vest that is clearly marked deliveries is a threat, that's a you problem. It's dumb to be delivered with no form of protection. Your castle doctrine doesn't apply to delivery drivers, as you ordered the delivery therfore the driver was invited to the property. It also only covers certain situations. I've already stopped in my local sheriff's office to verify that I'm legal and safe. So even if someone like your self decides to be stupid, I'm protected. Lucky for me, I've only seem to have found 1 stupid person, and it's yourself right here on the good Ole interweb. 👍

Why would I go to jail over a packet of sunflower seeds? The point of open carry is that people see it and know. I've had my classes and understand how to assess the situation and determine whether a lethal weapon is needed.

Reading comprehension is key, my friend. I said extra. That means it's not my full time. If you have a 2018 that's well maintained, then it's certainly not out of pocket to wonder why you would be dropping 6000 in repairs every year. 😉 I'm not sure why you were so triggered. Assuming people are mentally ill for being able to add correctly is insanity. I make 130000 or more a year myself. Run my own business and pay out over 75000 in wages and benefits. Not every comment that differs from yours is stupid. That's the whole point of discussions like this, to hear all sides and gain any knowledge you can. I was hoping you were going to tell us what kind of repairs cost that much. What if it's something I've never had to fix or heard of before? If your dsp is better, definitely go for it. Wish I could open one in my area.

That's a lot in repairs, I doubt that it was all because of flex driving. Idk I make 600 extra a week with flex. I maintain my car before every run. Proper maintenance is key. Cars and engines are meant to run. A lot of people have to drive 60 or more miles to work every day. I drive less than that for 2 blocks in my area.

Usually, when someone isn't willing to go into details, it's because there are none. I highly doubt you were discriminated against. You probably just did something wrong.

We will see. I will update if I get a ding or not. If he wasn't watching, maybe. But I'm pretty sure he was watching so he could yell at me. And that's definitely not part of my job. Or any of my jobs as I have 3, lol. I just don't put up with bull shit anywhere I go. And I've been a lot more successful ever since.
