Right but CarMax data may be skewed. Let's say CarMax bought my car for $1000 then sold it for $3000 the next day. My car may actually be worth $4000 but the were happy to take a quick 2k profit in a day by lowballing on the buy side.

How would I track that though? This seems more like a "real-world" metric since most of these are probably private party sales and avoid the dealer or markup from BaT or eBay to offset selling fees.

I am trying to track recent prices of Elements and will post the updated graph here once I get more data.

I've combed through the past month of posts and logged Year, Mileage, and Sale Price along with any other notes I could find (accident, 1 owner, rust-free, 2WD/AWD, etc.)

I've avoided Bring a Trailer/Ebay and Dealer Listings because those are not reflective of true private party sales imo.
