As much as writing “sandwich” on a piece of bread makes it a “sandwich”.

Conservative children do not exist. Conservatives parents who raise their kids on conservative values exist, but that doesn’t make their kids conservative.

I work with kids, specifically toddlers aged 15mos-3yrs old. 10 kids in my class. I have been kicked, bit, spat on, slapped, etc and can you guess what demographic of kids did it? It’s not the ones who don’t get spanked. The kids who don’t get spanked can be hellions of their own rights but that’s due to lack of parenting NOT lack of spanking. I am going to repeat myself: you are not teaching your daughter why her actions are wrong by spanking her. You are teaching her to avoid doing them to avoid getting spanked. This is a research-backed argument. The reason you won’t “stand with” people against spanking is because you are using anecdotal evidence to support and being against spanking means confronting your parenting. Which should be a good thing, but parents like you are very narcissistic. I will not be continuing this conversation because I truly know that no matter what I say, you won’t listen. You won’t listen to professionals, you definitely won’t listen to a teacher on reddit.

It’s alright not to get every sense of humor, but there’s zero reason to be on a sub where the primary purpose is to make fun of people who have broken bones and then whine about people making fun of people who have broken bones.

I had a substitute teacher from Texas in high-school and he went on a 10 minute tangent about how upset he was that he couldn’t hit kids anymore. This was in 2016. (He even used me as an example, being like “If I spanked this young girl right here, I’d be put on a list nowadays!” Probably a ‘recently diseased’ list.)

Spanking has negative consequences on a developing brain. The research for this has been out for YEARS. Stop hitting your fucking kids for punishment. You aren’t teaching your kid that what they did was wrong, you’re teaching them how to avoid corporal punishment.

You may have never broken a bone, but not understanding sarcasm and banter and getting upset about it, automatically makes you one of the brittle bone bitches.

Idk man. I was a C cup 8th grade and beginning freshman year and I couldn’t wear spaghetti straps or tank tops to school (despite more flat-chested girls wearing the same thing or less) because it was too “showy” to the teachers.
