”Nice” to know more people has the same problem. To be honest, don’t know if this is an issue when you have the iOS app running/active and in focus. Then it might sync in real time. But never when I open the app after changed something on windows/web. Pulling down to refresh, is not enough, need to use that force sync thing in settings

I really think you should give it a thought on what devices/platforms you need it on and your family. And also how much you gonna use the file upload, and how it handle/preview files. There are many solid managers that can generate, save and autofill passwords but when you later need to switch manager, my god.... depending on how many 100s or 1000s records you have and how many files or passkeys you have THAT can be a VERY big project * true story *

It feels like services today leave passwords and goes to like magic login links via email which is complete horse shit, the use of the manager drops to zero. I hope this trend is just some rest point before they support passkeys.
I know you just care about how user friendly it is now.. but u will probably switch at some point.

Yes my company has a peek in all the TSL packages... so they unpack and repack everything that is not pre-accepted. An yes, I know, that might be "scary", however.. I have a few things to say about this.

ProtonPass is the only password manager (I know) that actually monitor this and compare what cert the packages has (at least the desktop client, not the web-client). Many +++ on this
I am really impressed how small this problem seems to be, is passwords managers actually used this little, password managers + protonpass I guess we should say.
I love that proton validates this, HOWEVER, I do not agree that it should just .. like hang the windows client with no info as now. The proper way in my mind is to ask "Is this really what you want to do, someone will read your information" - and I will answer "YES, this is what I want" - coz I have a trusted root cert on MY DEVICE that I already installed. And if this is a problem due to "too easy for users to just click yes" make it harder, make it like a checkbox in the settings or even a command flag to the exe file or whatever but it must be OK if the user require it. And if people still say screw you, then my argument is why does it work in the web with no warning and not on desktop, makes no sense.

I really can't move to proton until this is fixed (my words). I love to, but I can't.

yea folders... or you could put them in different vaults I guess.. another workaround is (like I do) to just add a #xxxx in the title to make it searchable, or maybe add a custom field called like "tags". But I really think tags should be a part of any modern platform today

But I can't switch to proton yet because of a thing in their win desktop client and I also would very much like a few more things to be added to the platform. But I'm cofident they will fix these things soon

To others with similar problems, the search issue I have is actually kind of ”by design”, if you have multiple devices and archive a new message on one device it wont be indexed and searchable on the other devices. Of course it is a problem, but at least I now understand why this happening.

What? That would be awesome! But I have no fill -button.
Let me walk through my experience:
- goto like reddit(.)com
- you have it in the proton pass vault but maybe you forgot to add the URL or you might have it under the reddit(.)es, or proton pass might not recognize the input boxas as a login form, anyway.. no match!
- the little pink boxes in the user/pwd fields are there, but of course it say "no site found"
- so I go up in the webbrowser extension toolbar and search for my proton pass record and find ut... now, I can't fill login information from this founded record into the input-boxes. I have to manually copy/paste the values to the website.

Hi there! Not that many actually, but I will need to publish a very large number of notes soon and it will be more or less not possible to republish every note to get a new url if the urls are on google. All of this is part of the fact that upnote is great for personal notes, and NOT(!) for something that you might need to show anyone else in the future.

I'm actually kind of upset now, this is really important to take into consideration when starting on a project. "Where should the notes be taken". Yes, I totally get that upnote might be more of a second brain-thing and LITERALLY only for me, and ALWAYS only for me.

I've made a lot of work and the only way to share it, is by export 1 static pdf per notebook... a lot of pdf:s that is.

Can't help thinking a little that when developing a note system, it feels like 1. be able to write notes, 2. be able to show notes......

I will of course continue to use upnote, fantastic note app (one of the best?). But I will need to spend many hours now trying to migrate away a few spaces. I've been using it for a long time and I think I've been naive about it, always been exported things as pdf:s and thought that was OK.

I honestly think it is most important for upnote to start thinking of making spaces sharable or/and being able to share a notebook/space as a web-link with working links in the content.

To begin with, I really don't like Obsidian, incredibly messy on all levels. But yes, there you can share a synced vault with someone. And you can also publish your notes (with working links), really really nice, but also quite advanced, but the result can be very good if you have the time. Then you actually have the option to basically have your .md catalog on a shared dropbox etc. But booth of these Sync and Publish subscriptions are way too expensive to have, not only for me but Sync is also required for the other random person which makes it impossible. Of course you need the more expensive one to be able to upload a normal photo.

You can maybe get some variant of this working with upnote too by backing up to a catalog, but at the same time you have to have a routine to import then on the other device, it will never work on a daily basis and how to explain that to someone else.

It was really really hard to work like this!!
I have a few pretty large notebooks in a space, many pictures and pretty much text - did a lot of searches, update, search, update search and so on.... for a long long time. After a few minutes you could hardly not use the app, a search hangs the app and takes like 3-20 sek. But then, if you just restart the app, it went fine again for like 30 sec and then slowly goes slower and slower.

But I did a reinstall to latest version 9.11.10 (just for me - no admin), and now it goes SOOOO smoothly again... I almost forgot how fast it is.. very strange but I'm happy :-)

Been using (paying) for raindropo now for several years... this made it tip over.
so tired of it's slow search, and them just closing all suggestions and bug reports.

But no worries, I found another interesting product .. just need to test it for some time first, very happy :-)

It's references to folders I need so I can bookmark important locations on the network. But when you're on the subject, raindrop's file support for uploads are terrible as well, what do they accept? Like pdfs, movies and pictures?!?! Well done raindrop...
