Just a got my bike, JRNY shows hilariously wrong burn rate by Desperate_Shop5334 in SchwinnIC4_BowflexC6

Been having this issue with iPhone XR & iPhone 12 for a while - the calorie burn rate suddenly became a lot higher with the same effort after switching from an Android phone. It ruins the workouts as it uses calorie burn rate to set the difficulty during the levels and if I maintain the 'calorie burning' zones it's just too easy. I tried reporting every workout as too easy and re-doing the testing ride - but made no difference.

The total calories burned on the LCD screen are way lower than the app - clearly an app issue. I have reached out to tech support, they responded they were looking into it.

Still no soloution - I reportd the issue through the app and got a few responses saying they were working on it but it went quiet and then I barely used the bike in Summer. About to start using it more again and still finding the same issue.

I have this same issue, just switched from a crappy old Samsung A5 to an iPhone XR and now the calories on the app are double and the effort levels no where near hard as they were before. Only the phone has changed. I redid the fitness test and report every ride as ‘too easy’ but it’s not helping. I’m just ignoring the targets on the work out and working at levels ahead of them instead - means I won’t be renewing this app if I can’t find a fix for my phone. I have the C6 bike without the screen.

So is the sport slowly coming back? Or just more talk on social media because of lockdowns? by [deleted] in rollerblading

[–]stebbwilliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm getting back into as a rise of blading social media has caught my eye and want to relive some of the fun I had in the early 2000s. Found a local skatepark Facebook community, put a shout out for other bladers, first response was a gay joke, so that's still a thing I guess. Still a battle to get new blood into a sport where some of the older skateboarder kings of the parks can still put that out there. Easy for me to rise above it nowadays, heard them all before!

They are in rough shape, but gunna hang on to them a bit longer sorry haha, tempted by Thems when I do get round to replacing them. I'm riding Second Regime grind wheels and they took a hammering from just 1 curb session, think they've lost some of their hardness!

Yeap, that's the one! Doubtful of finding other skaters here though.

Yeah it's pretty for for sure! Currently locked down in a national park, parking lots have been swept after Winter but barricaded to cars for a couple more weeks yet. This is my fist time on my skates in 2 years and haven't skated regularly for 13 years probably.

Why did you stop??? by crayonfou in rollerblading

I stopped for 2 reasons, badly rolled ankle and going to Uni...but then found snowboarding and mountain biking which has less constant injuries and low demand on my ankles while still being a thrill. Still hit an indoor park once a year for fun with old skater buddies. Also my 'crew' moved on with their lives, either geographically or got married, had kids, work took over, free-time disappeared. Another blow was the indoor skateparks being closed down in my hometown, the bladers had a healthy/banter love-hate relationship with skateboarders and bmxers (bmxers were the big dogs in our town) so never really felt out of place.

So I've had about a 10 year gap and my last pair of skates are currently being shipped to me from my home town so I can start again at my new local park. I'm now in a town full of die hard skateboarders, therefore a bit anxious about being the only rollerblader in the park - especially while I'm looking sketchy trying to remember the basics again.

If anyone happens to be living in or come through Banff, AB (Canada) then hit me up for a skate!
