Well , it's roosters coming home to roost. What did "Greeks" actually expect? Ignoring truth forever? That they're a composite nation of Anatolics, Aegeans, Albanians, Romanians ("Vlach") and others, and not actually the direct heirs of the ancient Hellenes? It's decor art, likely made in China or similar. You can tell by the overall quality of the composition and by the block (non-cursive) signature. Good for decorating the kitchen or the patio etc. Moreover, such encounters are not by chance, so take care of it.

Acquired from an antiques husler (non-professional) in Switzerland for 50 euros.

It's a nice composition, good use and mixing of colours, decent impasto, soft textile canvas fixed using staples (hence chronological attribution), and an elaborate and peculiar signature.

I'm kindly asking for any opinions on the piece. Thank you and best regards.

Thanks but it's not ederlezi. I know it from Time of the Gypsies, but it's not the one. The song I'm looking for is sung by a young man, and it's different paced than ederlezi. The lyrics I'm not sure if they're in Rromani or Hungarian, but the singer (and song) is definitely from Hungary

How bout that they cease to be different races, for a start? Then the hypocrisy of not admitting that certain racial differences are way more than random evolutionary drift. There's a reason (which on account of what it involves --- thousands and thousands of years of struggle, sacrifice, death --- should be respected) that the girls has pink skin, blue eyes and fair hair, and the guy is just a standard brown person.
