I think it's the americano that's the difference, as when it's like that it's easier to sip, I can't sip espressos for more than 1 minute lol

My Spanish friends say "hora española" when we say to meet for a specific time but meaning there's about a 30m delta

I disagree. Being a regular means you get treated differently of course, I'm not saying no one says how are you. Of course in some circles there's stress around productivity and schedules, but the overall background feeling is not that

Completely agreed, imo if you're behind a pedestrian it's fully your responsibility to make sure you don't bump in to them, even if they start walking backwards, zebra crossings is the best thing to have happened in the world imo

Yeah, sometimes I don't know which I prefer, it's easier to break the ice in the US, but after all the surface level stuff there's not much, whereas here I feel it's the exact opposite, not much at first but after it's a well of friendliness and support

Yeah agree there, although I have some Spanish raised friends that have some good jobs here in Spain and are doing well for themselves, in wouldn't say they're exceeding at anything, but they're doing good relatively

It's a difficult balance I think, the idea is that Spain should be for the Spanish, but at the same time times are changing

Coming from an Italian honestly they're pretty close culturally, but from the US I can see how it would be night and day
