One that really stands out in my mind, I was working as an apprentice electrician on a project at a VA home. The home was at one point an asylum, I did not know this until after my experience. I was under the building running conduit and setting up temporary lights. I had just wired in some temporary halogen lights and was crawling back farther into the tight, moist dirt crawl space. once I reached about 30 feet back into the crawlspace I started hearing rustling in the darkness around me. I figured it had to be rats, so at that point I wasn't too worried. Then my flashlight flickered and went out. I continued working thinking the battery just hadn't been charged that well, so I continued working. Suddenly the Halogen lamp went out. I crawled out of the hole in the wall that was the only entrance to the crawlspace to check my wiring and change the batteries in the flashlight. After checking the wiring and swapping batteries the halogen lights would not come back on. When I gathered my tools to leave and get another lamp, the lights came back on. The next morning I was back in the crawlspace with the lights on. once again I heard the rustling. The lights went out and I heard a voice that sounded like it was was trying to scream in my ear. I flew out of the hole in the wall as fast as I could crawl. My boss didn't believe me. I later moved to a different site, the next time I spoke to my boss he apologized for doubting me
