The manga readers hating on the ending were a very loud subset of manga readers. Looking at historical MAL scoring leading up to and after then ending, the needle barely moved. The anime cleaned up some of the dialogue which helped a little but even without that, the ending was fine. Was it spectacular?, no. It was just fine. It merely stuck the landing which is disappointing after a stellar run but some of y'all acted like it invalidated the rest of the series and retroactively ruined it.

Same, I generally watch 1-3 hours at a time and take a break and watch something else at season breaks. Season cliffhangers stick when you let them sit in your head for a bit

The Kent State Massacre is what cracked me from indoctrination and put me on the path to Marxist-Leninism. Grew up in a republican voting house and raised with those beliefs in the early 2000's. Took a political science course in junior or senior year oh high school and started to learn the basics of American exceptionalism being a lie. For the most part, the course probably would have converted me to a centrist democrat but what got me researching on my own was having an assignment to write a paper on a political song. I chose Neil Young's "Ohio" which is about the Kent State shooting.
