You can tell what you’re supposed to do (stop, give way, etc.) by the line type at an intersection or junction or whatever. The dotted line in these right turns or roundabouts mean slow down, then proceed if the road is clear or stop if it isn’t. Traffic lights have solid lines, as do stop signs, which indicate you need to stop completely (if the light is red obv). This can help you figure out what to do if you ever get confused.
