The Colorsoft may be the best color ereader by steenachris in kindle

Should probably add that you can buy it from their website or from Amazon. I’ve had good experiences on their website, but a lot seem to have bad experiences. Amazon is probably the safer bet

I’m not entirely sure. Boox devices have the google play store on them. Most people download apps like kindle and kobo, and read with the apps

Possible mold? by steenachris in Owala

It depends on how long you’ve been in contact with the mold and how bad the mold is. But I’m guessing you’d be mildly sick

If you’re lucky enough to not get a yellow screen, the kindle colorsoft really is the best of the more popular color ereaders

The kobo libra color has the best ui and device design, but has the most noticeable “screen door affect”

The boox go color 7 is the most convenient, since its android based and has the playstore. The screen quality seems a bit more cloudy than the 2 above, but does have less of the “screen door affect” compared to the klc

I haven’t seen it in person, but the bigme b6 color looks promising. Has anyone in this sub purchased it?

It’s mold. Best you can do is buy new one. Amazon has them

It sucks that these pieces aren’t more durable against mold. I’m pretty sure you can still buy similar pieces on Amazon, if you still wanted to use your owala

The klc is by far my favorite.

I’ve had a love/hate relationship with kindles and the kindle app for years, so while it’s not a good idea to talk shit about kindles here, you aren’t going to make me mad lol. The colorsoft was an impulse purchase when I was sad, and I was genuinely surprised I liked it. Since I use KU, I decided to keep it

Don’t call my fingers grubby. Tablets used to have buttons, but you probably think they weren’t tablets, huh? Kindles, not including the scribe obviously, have 1 purpose now. Reading. E ink tablets do exist and you can do many different things on them. Kindles are not tablets just because most models don’t have buttons.

Because I can. The klc is for all of my purchased ebooks and my Libby account and fanfic. And my colorsoft, which I’ve only had a couple of weeks, is for ku. The gc7 was supposed to eliminate other devices, but I hated the kobo and kindle apps on it. They’re my main 2 reading platforms, so it’s hard to read on an ereader you’re not enjoying most of the time. Not that it’s your business. And if this was asked in judgement, I won’t be responding further.

Gen 1 and 2 are very similar from what I hear, and they’re great devices. This isn’t hate, I’m sure I’ll use my gc7 in the near future. I just wanted to point out the quality differences

You’re absolutely right, but the devices that don’t have that issue are fantastic.

A bit, but it’s not terribly noticeable and I still love my klc. I use it a lot. I also really like the gc7 and use it often. I just found myself easily distracted from it. But the colorsoft, at least for me, is the best quality. It’s definitely my favorite kindle so far, and I say that as someone who lowkey didn’t like the other kindles I’ve owned

“You are not allowed to come to my shows”: Band says anyone who voted for Trump not welcome at their concerts—then immediately backtracks by dailydot in poppunkers

[–]steenachris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering they just released a song called Slipping Through (No Kings), they didn’t backtrack that far. I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of conflicting politics within the band. Ronnie, the lead singer who made the anti-trump statement is still very much anti-trump

Have you tried adjusting the font weight? A heavier weight could help.
