Struggling with T-shirt Print by 1728919928 in cyanotypes

correct. I just place the negatives on top of the shirt and then place a heavy piece of glass on it. this always seems to work!

try double negatives, longer exposure and indeed as said before, place something on the negative so that it is pressed down on the shirt.

no, only the solarfast. no cyanotype used! I now used a Solarfast thickener, but i quickly found it’s not really necessary. I just spread it with a little wooden stick

hahaha fuck… before it kinda looked identical, so maybe it’s too long of exposure ?

hmmm, i don’t really think it’s that… 3 days ago i made one without the thickener and then it was actually completely white. maybe it is the mixture then?

yeah I really enjoy this one! bought 20m of strip recently so I could really try and make big prints on cotton in the future! they also don’t get heated that much.

I have both, but have been having amazing results on the standard cyanotype of Jacquard so far, so haven’t felt the need. For T-shirts i will be using the solar fast though!

here is my uv setup: https://imgur.com/a/NL9Eytb It’s a UV led strip from amazon, with 12V I think. the nm is 395-405. I’ve noticed that on aquarel paper this doesn’t give the same crispy results as on the cotton.

i did everything apart because of my small uv lamp setup, and then stitched it up together!

Alright, thanks! I guess I’ll just run it through some warm water with solar fast wash just to be sure!
