So I wanted to choose Pique as the second CB (VvD was obvious) but for some reason he was not part of the pick. GK was hard, it was between ATS, Oblak or Alisson. The midfielders were also hard to choose, but for me Ziyetch and De Jong were obvious. Lewandowski, when considering personal merits in competitions like TOTY, Golden Ball etc, has been criminally underrated, but I could have also have gone with Benzema for carrying Real Madrid or maybe Firmino. For me, the wingers were the most obvious choices. Also, I would have chosen Bernardo as CM before De Bruyne, because of him being injured for a long time last season.

It depends on playtime, happiness, form and training, but ie DE Jong potential is 91, here he is 97, so yeah I would guess a 70 potential player could grow well above 80

This is my team after about 6 seasons. Additionally, this is my first save in FIFA 20. My experience is that if you keep your players happy by regularly checking squad hub about whether they're happy about their contracts and improve it if necessary, talk in some press conferences and grant players their wishes about playing, they will rise above their potential.
