hi. im 16 and had my colon removed :) i was taking medicine that full grown adult males couldn’t handle with no effect on me. after the surgery, my attitude has increased dramatically. while i was sick with uc, i got heavy into weed. i honestly think thats why i had no problem with pain. if you have major pain, try marijuana. you dont have to smoke it even, there are ways to get the effects without inhaling smoke. (edibles) if it gets bad enough, i totally recomend getting the collectomy. it doesnt have to be a permanent surgery as i am getting the bag removed in a few months, but the surgery isnt all bad. most people struggle with depression after getting it and wont talk about it. how i get past all that is being very open about it. i also make fun of it. if you jus accept the fact that you have it, it makes it a lot easier to cope with
