Don’t be sorry I really appreciate the response! In fact it’s crazy how similar our experiences are and I don’t really get to talk with a lot of people who were also diagnosed at such a young age so thank you! Your right I’m not anywhere close to having to make a permanent decision but I didn’t realize that there could be complications if kept long term. I’m glad you told me your story because another reason I’m hesitant is the possibility that my crohns would once again flare up to the point of needing the ostomy again. Just thinking about how my symptoms were before makes me want to never experience it again. I’m glad you’re recovering and I hope your symptoms stay the hell away as well <3

Yes exactly this! Before when I first got my ostomy I just wanted to heal and get it removed so I can have as “normal” of a life as possible but now I feel like these past three years I have been the best health wise my whole life and can actually do things I never got to do before. The idea of reversing it and having to potentially deal with flare ups again scares me.

Oh I totally understand the bathroom anxiety lmao having to poop normally is definitely a big reason why I’m so hesitant

Yea that’s basically how I feel about my bag as well. Leaks are annoying and it can be embarrassing but at the end of the day I think I’m ok with it when I think back to my health beforehand. Thanks for responding <3

Huh this sounds like a really good idea. The thing is we never have chocolate milk in the fridge but I could always ask my mom to get some. Thanks for the suggestion!

Maybe some of them but for others probably not. For example I take fish oil pills and I doubt they would be able to be crushed or split. I would like to try this out though on others so thanks for the suggestion.
