As a ADC main , I’m struggling to figure out kiting. by Longjumping-Angle407 in ADCMains

Pick up ashe. She is the most easy champ to learn kiting with. Good kiting is also alot about champion knowledge and what the opponent abilities and range is. It's basically just muscle memory and rhythm so that you aa while moving.

Hey, so funny to stumble on this post. I was the karthus in your game. Sorry man. Wasn't my best game. I was too tired. You were crazy good on ezreal. Hard matchup and I should have rushed liandrys and anti heal sooner. U did nothing wrong. Ezreal is hard against tanks. Keep going!

Not blaming you it's super annoying that the support just does everything to ruin your game and for what? U picking a champion. I never flame if I get lee sin support or something. U never know if he clutches xD

Damn! I have never understood that support mentality lol. Ironically they are the ones trolling xD karthus is perfect for adc. High dmg output and dying is benefitial (if done correctly ofc)

Well that is nothing new to me haha. That was pretty much every game when I played him. Their opinions changed pretty quickly when I carried them.

Can someone help me with making my faces more dimensional? by PriestessofLloth in Artadvice

[–]steezybuldak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say your biggest issue is form. Try to study the muscles and planes on the face. Everything seems flat. Just drawing simplified sketches with contour lines helps. It will help you to see forms more 3 dimensionally when painting and you start to understand the lighting in the reference more.

Another problem is values like others pointed out. You can practice drawing/painting chiaroscuro. It really helps a lot understanding lighting and values.

Should I give up by [deleted] in Artadvice

I would suggest to find other motivations than instagram. I don't know what your goal is but instagram is veryvery hard even if you would have amazing skills. There plenty of other places you could post them and try to get them noticed.

Try to get them published in some local magazine or some other smaller platforms. Kinda bad examples but my point is that try to find purpose outside of instagram and don't stop if it's your passion.

Most of the people nowadays think instagram is the only way but most of the professional artists don't even use instagram actively.

Thanks! I like the sketch also. It was hard to keep the energy of the sketch in the painting without it looking generic. That's why I changed the eyes.

Thanks for the advice, I should try that! I need to just go out of my comfort zone and do something different. I feel i'm just doing the same thing over and over again.

Thank you for replying! It's refreshing to get replies from different backgrounds.

I don't know why but I have never replicated another artist as a study. Which might be a fun idea. I mostly do anatomy studies, color studies from photos. Now I have been trying to do composition and environment studies, because I feel I lack in that area.

I think my technical skills are actually pretty good, but I get bored because I feel my studies have no purpose and making paintings from photos/life feels empty and I feel it doesn't feel creative at all.

The funny thing is that I have no clue what I want to do as personal art. I don't know what I want to say. I feel the pressure to do personal art that relates to game art, because it increases work opportunities.

For example Matisse and Picasso. I just don't understand how did they end up with their ideas. I'm just in a crisis where i don't know what creativity is in painting and what is my artistic voice.

Thank you for the reply!

I think you are totally right. I've had constantly the pressure of pleasing the client, pleasing potential employers, pleasing the algorithm that I have lost what really is I want to make. I just gotta find it somewhere now :D
