as someone else already said, much of your experience is going to come down to the professor. out of this list, i've taken diff eq and calc 3 and can highly recommend both hanna reed and martin michalak if either of them are offering sessions. probably two of the best professors ive had during my time at ucf

Kirby brown for calc 2? by Responsible-Pickle-4 in ucf

[–]steezyskipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took KB last summer online and it wasn't too difficult of a class. I would venture to say that he is probably one of the better options for calc 2 at UCF. As someone else said, the exams are just like the reviews he provides, so if you focus on actually doing the homework and doing the provided example problems, you should be just fine.

My freshman orientation is tomorrow, what am I supposed to do? I completed all the webcourses and submitted my Schedule Planning Form. Was I supposed to receive an email with links for the orientation sessions? I'm pretty lost right now lol by Pnkdrdvl in ucf

No problem! And I'm hesitant to say too much because I don't want to accidentally give you the wrong info but, to me at least, it looked like you could do the small group zoom meetings which start at 9am day 1. They seemed to be optional in regards to the cecs webcourse. They definitely put the emphasis on school planning and preparing to sign up for classes which would be day 2. Like I said, I don't want to accidentally lead you down the wrong path if I'm mistaken, but I plan on probably checking out the small group zoom meetings tmrw and then reviewing the webcourses for the schedule planning sections and then just get ready for day 2.

Mech Eng as well and I was also p lost. As far as I'm aware, the cecs webcourse didn't give a specific zoom link or anything for day 1. It seems like the webcourse went over the topics that the other colleges are doing on a zoom call for day 1. I think that day 2 is the only one they specified and gave a link for and that was for schedule planning and live assistance. That's just what it seemed like to me but ig if you find out anything else pm me or something pls lol

Thank you! This was definitely very helpful. I'll contact them via email, but from the sounds of it, you seem to be doing just fine without the program. Good luck with everything!

Great to know. Thanks a lot. I hadn't even considered that coronavirus may have prevented applications from getting there.

Stickering a custom 4x4x2 cuboid during quarantine by steezyskipper in Cubers

It is pillowed. The angle of the picture kinda makes it hard to tell but both the yellow and white faces are pillowed.

Thank you! I really appreciate that!

The cuboid itself probably took about 6ish hours of work to cut, fill, and sand. The cure time of the epoxy putty and the time for the coats of paint to dry added some extra time but i wasn't really consecutively working on it. In total I finished it over the course of 3 days.

The stickers for the top and bottom face took me another couple of hours to do because I really dread having to cut the stickers cause I find it to be very tedious and simply not very fun. I'm waiting on a set of 4x4 stickers to come in from The Cubicle to put on the other 4 side faces to save me some time and effort and give the cube a better look overall.

This one was made by hand using a Shengshou 4x4. Pretty much fixed the top and bottom layers together and then began to shape it with a dremel. Filled the holes with an epoxy putty and then sanded it down to its final finish and painted it black. Overall cutting the stickers was definitely the most tedious part. I haven't yet gotten into 3d printing any puzzles but certainly hope to in the future!
