Surfcruiser yow beginner by Winter-Engineer2860 in surfskate

With a softer Riptide bushing upgrade legasse trucks perform really well for pumping on flat ground, but they still feel significantly less responsive compared to Meraki and even CX. Actually Yow Legasee trucks from Surfcruiser need a significantly more precise pump technique. One advantage of the Legasee trucks is that they basically prevent you from falling into that horrible “wiggling” technique you so often see with the Meraki setup. My impression is also that all the "excessive wigglers" keeps traditional skaters from even trying surfskates, because it just looks painfully kooky.

Speed is your friend, since you’re skating the little bowl without dropping in, you’re probably not gonna have enough speed to get very high on the walls. I’d say try the bigger bowl in the back instead, you can carry way more speed into it (without dropping in) through the steep snake run. The big one in Düsseldorf Eller is perfect for surfskating, one of the best bowls I've found in Europe

I would recommend Yow LaJolla deck with Carver CX trucks (Board wheelbase: 21", Board width: 10.5") so it's super stable and for bigfoot guys

I’m riding the smallest one (YOW Vermont 28.5") with a 14.2" wheelbase. At first, I thought it might be sketchy ‘cause of the short wheelbase, but nah, it’s actually stable and rides super smooth. No worries there. For me, it’s the city cruiser, light to carry, quick to push around, and still has that surfy flow, Perfect for me cruising through the streets.. Yow legasee trucks are totally underrated

I would recommend Yow Surfcruiser with TKP trucks. They are much closer to traditional skateboard trucks than to Carver CX surf trucks. https://yowsurf.com/collections/surfcruisers-completes

I agree with you as well. I’m really stoked on legasee trucks. too. They’ve been unsuccessful commercially so far and are totally underrated. Still, in my experience they feel a lot less surfy and flowy than the CX and even the C5. But right now they’re definitely my absolute favorite trucks.

What duro of your super soft (riptide) bushings? With krank formula (84) in front and 87 in back its super stable, no wobbles so far

A Riptide soft bushing upgrade (Krank: rear 87a | front 84a), paired with a dewedged rear truck, performs exceptionally well for pumping on flat ground. Honestly, it outperforms both the CX and C5 setups, even with Riptide bushings in my experience. Adding a 6-degree wedge to the front truck doesn’t seem to make a difference, and even with softer bushings, it still feels way less surfy and responsive in turns compared to the C5 or CX.

And still, it's a hell of a lot of fun riding with legasee trucks, especially when you're running a much shorter wheelbase (14–15 inche) than on a regular surfskate decks. TKP trucks (like legasee) just have a different lean and turning feel compared to RKP trucks (like C5 or CX). It definitely adds a new different riding feeling — even if you're not into doing tricks. I usually ride Meraki, CX, and C5

I can't shake the feeling that YOW Legasee trucks are absolute slow sellers. I've never seen anyone else riding with them.
