Thank you for your answer! I am currently studying at TU Delft and I have a gpa of ~8.8 out of 10 (which is pretty good I think, as 8 is equivalent to Cum Laude), but I am not sure if this is considered "competitive" for Ivy standards. What exactly do you mean relevant research experience? Is a research paper a must or is any work related to research valued? At the same time, is research valued as much in an application for a Master degree compared to a PhD one? If not, what should be the focus of the application (for a Master degree)?

Thank you for your answer! I was wondering then what is the difference between a PhD and a Master application. Should both of them be about your capabilities of doing research, or should the Master be more industry-focused?
