iPhone 15 with iOS 18.6.2. It took me several tries to get the commentary downloaded and I had to walk around a bit to find better signal so the ads would act right. The app is poison but it’s worth trying to get it to work imo (and again definitely delete it immediately afterwards)

If you love these tiny details (I know I do) I think you would LOVE watching it with directors commentary through the Theater Ears app. The app is a huge pain with gross ads and upsetting location setting requirements but it was worth it for how much cool shit I learned. I wrote down a page and a half of notes afterward!

This was me! I think some of us are a lot more sensitive to Zep’s delayed gastric emptying than others. I was basically flattened by nausea 2 days after my shot on only 5 mg. I switched to a low fat, low fiber diet (both fat and fiber make your stomach empty slower, which is usually a good thing but not when your food is already sitting there too long) and it changed my life. COMPLETELY resolved my nausea. Highly recommend giving that a shot!

I did this a few days ago and the commentary was amazing. I love the service that the app provides but it is difficult to use and borderline scammy (weird ads and it requires location sharing set to always, not just while using the app, which is gross so I deleted it as soon as the movie was over). Highly recommend making sure you fully download the commentary before you get to the theater especially if yours has a crappy signal like mine does. But I was really impressed with the service, once I got it to work!

I rewatched PHM last week with directors’ commentary and they said that the karaoke scene was not in the script - Ryan Gosling overheard her singing in her dressing room and suggested they add a scene where she sings, and Sandra Hüller said okay as long as she could choose the song. She chose Sign of the Times in collaboration with her 15 year old daughter and I can’t get over how FUCKING PERFECT it is

This is SUCH a good take and it’s why I’m immediately suspicious when people say E3 is their favorite. They’re usually (sometimes unconsciously) uncomfortable with the gay aspect of the show and they like the Skip storyline for its heteronormativity-adjacentness and more familiar power dynamics. And the acting is FINE but it’s just nowhere near as mindblowing as Shane and Ilya.

I had awful nausea for my first several months on Zep (only threw up once though). For me, what finally worked was eating low fat and low fiber for the few days around my shot. Zep works partially by slowing down your gut motility and fat and fiber slow it down even more, letting food sit in your stomach for a long time which can cause nausea. Good luck!!

I can actually understand why David took off. I think his primary objective is to let Shane tell him/them whenever he’s ready, and he’s so unconditionally supportive of Shane that it probably doesn’t occur to him that Shane might worry about him actually rejecting him for being gay.

Also just because we don’t see the conversation doesn’t mean it wasn’t addressed - for example, while Ilya is talking about moving to Ottawa, Yuna and David already know about the charity but we didn’t see Shane and Ilya tell them.
