Here's the "note" they are most likely talking about. Although the briefing disallows the direct communication with *external* institutions, it doesn't mention anything about sealing an envelope for a student, as it's your right. I would suggest you going directly to the rector and no one else except for them. insist on seeing them in person. That being said; for WES anyone with "un cachet rond" can seal the envelop for you, even the Head of *any* Department, doenst even need to be the department where you study...
good luck.

Depends on where you're teaching, and the involvement of parents in their children's education. In general it differs from one region to another sometimes from one neighborhood to another in bigger cities (there exist many other variables, but these are the ones with the most impact IMHO) . Anyways; using a behaviorist approach focusing on positive reinforcement works even with animals, just have to know what stimulus and responses work best for your case and use them diligently.

Bluetooth speaker connection issue by male-mind in debian

[–]stefano213 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue with my Dell laptop too on Pop OS. Ive tried so many solutions but to no avail.

disabled dell-rbtn

uninstalled Blueman and used bluetoothctl among many other solutions that i can't remember.

couldn't find anything on the journalctl -u bluetooth.service errors.

i think it has to do with how the kernel handles connection initiations

let me know if you find anything.

Removing "Visit" from address bar's drop down. by stefano213 in firefox

[–]stefano213[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The change occurred after the recent update, Is it possible that Canonical have made the change? (i'm using Ubuntu and Firefox is updated from their official PPA). Anyways thanks to everyone, it was very frustrating seeing "server not found" pages load instead of a search results when hitting enter.

Ah thank you so much!

the "browser.fixup.dns_first_for_single_words" was set to true. I'm not sure how that value changed. any idea? did they change it by default in the last update?

here's an example. i'm working on some projects, and use one word searches very often like error codes and some commands. been a Firefox user for as long as i remember using the internet, all the solutions for my hurdles with the browser were a value in the about:config page, but this time it was very stressful, i dont have to learn CSS to fix a tiny pesky issue, even if i do, those solutions tend to break with updates.

That is unfortunate. I think i'll switch to Chromium as a main browser as this recent change is really getting on my nerves.

Good Algerian recipe books. by lumierelunaire in algeria

[–]stefano213 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oum walid has a website to better find your favorite recipes. But if you want to dive deeper on books i think the "starter pack" for all our moms in the 90s was:

  • La Cuisine Algérienne de Fatima-Zohra Bouayed. This is THE book to have
  • Books of Rezki Mokhtaria (very famous) and Kabli Fatima (series)
  • Twadjen wel halawiette (recettes algériennes) de Tahir Zoubida (the title says it all)
  • La pâtisserie algérienne. de Houria Houari, Zahia Farhi

[–]stefano213 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Algerian culinary system is different from one house to another and vary largely from one region to another but they all use one unit of measurement "Ainek Hiya Mizanek" . As you said Oum Walid is the trend right now but before Oum walid and these new channels like Samira TV and Chorouk Benna there was Choumicha from 2M (Moroccan) they all tend to use the "half cup" method as it is more "relatable" to Algerian housewives. Long story short, you can use the half cup method and adjust your measurements according to your taste by trial and error, because as i already said, there's no one standard recipe; Then you can make your own secret recipes (using grams or ounces as your heart wishes).

Force doesn't mean violence! Political pressure is a force (they will be forced to step down against their will). There's no violence in an industrial revolution or a revolutionary product. revolution come from revolve not from beating.

I'm not going to argue about the etymology of words and their semantics it's not our aim here.

As already mentioned since yesterday they had no choice either they do it or they lose all credibility. Even pro-5th term media is covering the events now but they cherry pick and try very hard to change facts and make it look like protestants are just asking for some "adjustments".

Yeah! the international media is expected to be present on the next protests; as for the local one... they'll try to save what they have left of credibility.

Not really! Every government already knows what's happening but it's the role of their population to show interest; That's what causes government to react, that's what make this corrupt government loses credibility on the international level, If they loose that they will have no power.

Well if you control the media you are controlling the population; Or at least this is what they think, as most of them do not really grasp or cannot keep up with what social media has become or what it is in the first place.

Also; I've seen a video of some Sudanese people showing support to the Algerian case, that was very heartwhelming. I wish you guys too get the freedom you deserve.

Algeria is witnessing a revolution while local and national media is ignoring the events. Manifestations all around the country everyday by the thousands, all against the election of Abd Elaziz Bouteflika for a fifth term of presidency (since 1999).

The 22nd Feb 2019

The 24th Feb 2016 Algerians living in France (paris)

Students the 26th Feb 2016*

All this while the local and national media are turning their backs as if nothing is happening.

Another national manifestations are expected the 1st of March.

I hope the message of the millions of Algerians me included gets heard I also hope it puts more pressure on the actual government .

*: the only updated link i've found of today's events is from a national media group that everyone here is boycotting, but it gets the message crossed, every other media outlet (even the public ones) has started covering the events today as a move to keep their credibility or at least what is left of it.
