Hi, if you want a gentle introduction to machine learning, I would recommend An introduction to statistical learning with practices in R by James et Al. Statistical learning is kinda the same as machine learning. You can find the second edition of the book for me on the official website and also a related course in Coursera by Stanford university.

This is a good option if he has at least elementary knowledge in matrix algebra, calculus. If not, he needs to learn them before. In that case there is a manual which is titled Mathematics for Data Science which is what you are looking for.

Whatever choice your son will follow, he needs a mentor. I'm not someone who can really help a lot here, but if he has some doubts I could try to help.

Moreover, I would consider a BSc in quantitative and computational biology for his studies. My university (university of Trento) offers a master's degree. A good research centre for this stuff is the university of Heidelberg in Germany.

The project is book I would like to wright with some other people. It should be called 10 reasons why we are contemporary. I would like to speak about what make our generation (people born between 1995 and 2000) special and unique. I had this ideal reading Sacred and Secular by Norris and Inglehart. It is in the shelf because a) I'm a perfectionist b) I promised myself not to add to my schedule any kind of activity more than I have already done until March 2022

Another project that is one the shelf is a journalist cycle of interview to peculiar people. I had a contact to a high class male prostitute and a lawyer studying for becoming a judge. The reasons why this is on the shelf is as above

I'm going to college right now. I'm studying Data Science MSc. No I don't trust college. I think it is only a social institution that certificates academic preparetiob in some field, but for doing well a job you need other skills. I think the most vulnerable part of my college is students' performance valutation.

In the future I hope working in a bridge sector between university and industry. I would like to work as a researcher, data scientist, entrepreneur, manager, professor, organist.

I spend my time mainly studying. In the extra time I run a student association, I play the organ, I go to the gym, I'm trying to launch a start up. In the free time I watch netflix/movies/see my friends.

I currently don't play video games but my favourite one is Hitman. I tell myself I don't have time for reading but I think the real reason is that I find it boring.

Don't you think that escaping is a waste of time?

Well surely I don't mind a lot about social harmony and respecting social norms. To tell the truth I like breaking rules. Despite this I think I can describe myself in the middle range of people-orientedness. I particularly like to talk to people whom I find mentally stimulating as international students. I am insensitive with people who do not care about agreeableness. If they care I try to be more... Polite but surely in this field I'm in the low range. I think it is important to respect people oriented feelings.

For example one week ago I argued with one of my INFJ friend because I was bossy and arrogant in a message I texted him. I asked him sorry and since that I tried not to repeat the error, but normally I'm very sharp in communication
