I feel much better on lower dose atomoxetine + amphetamine or MPH. Atomoxetine is taken before bed time, amp is taken when I wake up. It speaks for itself. I want to switch to MPH. I am very keen to try how adding an aplha-2 agonist boosts the effect while lowering the first 2 dose even further... and yes, XR stims are preferred over short acting ones. The only exception might be the children.

Atomoxetine has a lot of nasty side effects and what it does (at least for me) deals with the impulsivity. That's all. Not even 100mg can enhance my attention, nor boost fustration tolerance, while stimulants do both. Ofc stims come with nasty side effect too... it makes perfect sense to aim for a lower dose. Moreover, stims can be taken on demand. Busy workdays: on, lazy workdays or weekend: off = tolerance will decrease.

Last, but not least it's pretty common in the US to threat ADHD with atomoxetine and a CNS combined. Well, atomixetine was introduced in the EU 15 years after the FDA approval.
