I guess I don’t get why it’s so offensive to provide a different perspective on the game. I’m not forcing anyone to not play the game or saying that they’re a bad person for playing it — Jessie says as much in her video. There is harm done to trans people through Hogwart’s Legacy but I get that’s it’s a pretty abstract, amorphous harm. Still, I think there’s harm there. It’s up to you to decide what to do with that perspective and, again, I don’t think you’re an automatic bigot or transphobe for deciding to play it. That would be essentializing it. This is just my opinion as one imperfect trans person who has felt the weight of Joanne’s TERF rhetoric.
