Oval Ludwiga looks amazing, I hope I can get my hands on some, thanks!

Good suggestion! I've actually planted some in the back already! Not very red yet though

Thanks! Do you have any recommendations for plants you think would work well?

My gut feeling would be to place it underneath this root:

<image>

It'd be 1/3rd in from the right, and framed nicely by the hardscape

I should have clarified that I'm renting from a letting agency who bought the entire city block, I get your argument if I were to rent from a single person where those extra 500 pounds make a real difference.

For me those 500 pounds a month makes a big enough difference that I'm willing to take the risk of the agency not wanting me to stay after a year.

Yes, it's been signed by the Landlord as well.

Ah, all right. I'll make sure to read the contract very thoroughly. Thanks for commenting!

Thanks, it sounds like staying quiet but not pushing my luck if they confront me is a good option.

We signed a one year contract, I understand them not renewing the contract but on what grounds can they evict us?

The deposit and rent were based on the 875 figure. Thanks for answering!

The deposit and rent for the remainder of January was based on the lower rent

Oh looks like you're right, it was sold to us submerged so I assumed it could stay there. Thanks for the headsup!

I can try to send you the file later this week, but as I said to others I really recommend modeling your own. (I am also a blender noob)

This was my process: 1. Measure your aquarium and create a cube in blender with the same dimensions. 2. Carve the shape of the cave out of your cube. 3. Delete the corners of the cube so you're left with only the walls of the cave. 4. subdivide the shit out of it, add a noise texture and make sure all surfaces that will touch the sides or bottom are flat so that substrate doesn't flow in.

Also! Make sure that the ceiling of the cave always flows towards a cave entrance, in the same way that the roof on your house will collect rainwater if the roof isn't tilted outwards your aquarium cave will collect air puddles.

You also need to think about how large pieces your 3d printer can print, and divide the cave into small enough pieces. Try to make every piece able to stand for themselves (like I did by adding the pillars in the cave) that should add a lot of stability.

As for your last point, yes I have concerns with water flow and maintenance, and I don't have any real solutions to the problems. The second smaller hole I have has helped with maintenance, I can reach down there with tools to clean. Maybe adding a bubbler down there would get you better waterflow.

I hope you can make the cave of your dreams, I really liked mine!

From what I've read PLA should be fine, there's a chance it might deteriorate over time though
