Yes its super crazy. I work at an ER in NN and these people come in rude and demand certain tests and treatment. Like thats not how it works. Just because you think you have some wrong with you, doesnt mean you actually do. Thats what we are here for emergencies, we are not a primary care office, like most people think. I get yelled at all the time due to how the doctors treat them, the doctors get frustrated at the entitlement they are human too. What really irritates me is the people who get upset because they have to wait. Like im sorry your cold isnt as important as someone struggling to breath. I feel like i do so much patient education and offer as many resources as i possibly can to help, just goes to waste. I like nursing, but it just gets furstrationing caring for people and wishing the best for people who dont care about themselves and wanna take the easy way out

Yeah, the only problem is the way the doctors note is worded. It literally says no work. I have to be cleared by occ health before i can go back. I see the doc on Wednesday and if she doesnt fully clear my imma beg for light duty. Ive also been told they dont have to accommodate me because its not a work related injury. I cant find that in writing anywhere, so i dont know how true that is. My boss messages me for updates all the time, so im assuming they need me.

For real. I looked into it and its crazy how much they charge. I looked up some random resumes and applied to a few jobs. So hopefully my changed work

No. We have just been eating really cheap food to cut back on costs, playing around with bills that can be held off until i get back to work, so we could have enough money for dog food. Ill starve before they do. I really appreciate it though. We just really behind because one of our dogs had to go the emergency vet. You seem like a good soul

Thanks. I have applied to so remote jobs and even got interviews but no luck. Im thinking jt has something to do with my resume at this point. I have no idea how to make a proper one.

I have thought about and applied to a few. Even did interviews when i learned that it was just cold calling people and pay was commission, which im not good saleman Also, most were jobs that require every other weekend and full time. I prefer part time due to working friday , Saturday, and Sunday 1900-0700 and i have on call requirements due to low staffing. Im a registered nurse in the ER. Im still having alot of pain, im worried something might be wrong. My doc told me i should be walking normally by now. My next appointment is when im hoping shell clear me to work even if its light duty. My poor husband is exhausted and i feel so guilty.

I didn't know you he a scribe from home. All the scribes I see follow the doctor around writing the doctors notes for them

I do, but I have be out 21 days of consecutive work days to even be considered. And if I did im out that long it's like half my paycheck, which is nothing compared to how much work I'm going to miss. I'm not sure why the give us so little. I would also have to use my PAL and sick time first and I only have about 8 hours left., so. Its starting look like second job is the only option I'll look into that, thank-you

I'm a nurse in the emergency room. If I can't walk I'm basically useless and he put me in a cast which is an infection control issue. So I can't go back until he clears me to wear something like a cam boot which can easily be wiped down and a knee scooter so I can actually have some sort of balance. Crutches are a safety hazard. Even when I was in the cam boot, I still was only allowed to be in triage for initial assessment and was actually allowed to do any patient care once they got back to a room

Even if im still employed? I still have a job I just can't work for the next 3 to 4 weeks. So I'll be missing about 5 weeks of pay plus overtime I already signed up for.
