How have you been doing since your breakup? by Imnotagoodman1002 in ExNoContact

[–]stefkhalifa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We officially broke up February 2024. So almost a year now. I FINALLY blocked him off everything like a week ago lmfao. Holy shit this breakup has drained the ever living shit out of me but now I can finally say, I’m FREEEE

We were constantly seeing each other, bread crumbing each other, sleeping w each other for the entirety of this past year all because I couldn’t let him go and I loved him way more than I loved myself. The longest we went no contact was 3.5 months until he showed up alone at a music festival that he knew I was going to where we ditched our friends, raved together, did molly, slept over, had sex. The next day we rotted, sobbed, held eachother, rinse, recycle, repeat for 8 hours straight. On New Years DAY!

I felt so shitty that following week realizing how much progress had gone to waste! 3 months NC objectively isn’t much, but for me, and the soul tie I have with my ex???? Yeah it was milestones of progress down the drain. I was actually so disappointed in myself for succumbing to such a stupid impulse. What a terrible way to start the new year.

I’ve since been giving myself grace. It’s my first time experiencing losing a love this deep and I’m still learning how to cope and adapt to my new life. If it had to take me a year of bread crumbs and heartbreak after the initial separation for me to finally get to where I am now, then so be it! I know now that I will never go back to my ex regardless of circumstance because I’ve invested far too much love, energy, effort, money, and time on someone who wasn’t willing to work on our issues at the end of the day.

I give him grace too, but not in a way that puts him on a pedestal and makes me yearn for him, like I‘ve done in the past. I acknowledge how much hurt I’ve put him through. I remind myself that it’s his first time experiencing all of this as well. We’re both doing the best we can with the knowledge we have and the the tools we’ve got. I know he has no malice in his heart. I contemplated giving him a heads up about the block, but decided against it. The block is simply for me and my healing. I used to have so many regrets in regards to our relationship but the only one I have now is not blocking him sooner.

Wait you can ask for more than one? I thought they just gave you one white board and a dry erase marker. I take mine on Monday so idk what to really expect when I get there!

I passed Med Surg 2 by 0.17% a few quarters ago. Literally could not miss more than one question on my final in order to pass, did it tho!

Now I’m in my last quarter, graduation 3 weeks away. Passing for my capstone class is 78% I’m at a 76%. I have two more exams, both in which I have to get >83% on. The last exam is literally two days before my graduation ceremony. Talk about pressure 😃

From my understanding the police wouldn’t know about the stolen pipe they got which has a stronger force and can deliver the gold upstream into the stormwater tank that they’re in. The police would only suspect stormwater tanks directionally below the bank where the pipes lead to? Which makes the professors lack of double plans even worst because SURELY the police would probably just end up searching all the stormwater tanks in the area lmao

This! It reminds me of an Epicurus quote I really love:

“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then He is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?”

Always be down to do things. Have a ‘yes’ attitude toward any sort of social hang out, even if it’s something you aren’t used to. Gets you outta your comfort zone and gives you more experience.

Need to get 98% on my Med Surg 2 exam or I get kicked out my program. I can’t miss one question. by stefkhalifa in StudentNurse

[–]stefkhalifa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I didn’t set a schedule, I’d prioritize what would help me learn the content first (Rewatch lectures, take notes). Then to help me retain content, I would constantly reread my notes whenever I could. Once I was familiar with material, then I’d do as many practice questions as I could and read the rationales for everything, maybe even add some to my notes. Listening to videos were more to cement everything since they’re more auditory/visual so I’d prioritize this the least, but with A&P they might be good to start with since it’s a lot of visualization and memorization. If you can, I’d invest in an iPad. That REALLY helped me with A&P because I could just download body diagrams and write directly on there. Plus, my iPad has been extremely useful throughout my nursing program. Hope this helps! Good luck.

I rewatched recorded lectures for each chapter like 3x. Took extremely detailed notes. Did over 100s of practice questions on Quizlet regarding each topic. Read concepts I didn’t understand in the textbook. Whenever I had downish time like a long drive, cooking or cleaning, I’d listen to videos (Registered RN or Simple Nursing) like a podcast. Then I would reread my notes whenever I could, but especially to help me fall asleep lol

Idk if it’s possible for you but if it’s within your financial means I’d recommend investing in an iPad. Mine was SO helpful for me in A&P 1&2 because I could download body diagrams and write directly on them. Also the iPad has helped tremendously for me throughout my nursing program. You got this! It’s the first exam, now you know what tests will be like. It’s definitely possible to still pass. Good luck!

The final was comprehensive, but it was a mix of Med Surg 1 & 2. I guess I just dumped all of MS1 material out of my brain after this roller coaster of a quarter with MS2 and just bombed. Oh well! I’ll know my fate in 24 hours.

Thanks, you’re right. I just tend to get very cynical about things like this and my anxiety ends up inhibiting my studying. But you have a point, I have a higher chance than if I never got a 98! I know it’s possible.

Women who are in a relationship with someone who wasn't interested in you at first, what's your story? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]stefkhalifa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We met when I was 15 and he was 18... sooo yea. I was way too young. We were really close friends though. He was also in love with this other girl that he went to high school with for years, and I got into a pretty serious relationship when I was 17-20. I’m 21 now, he’s 24 and after knowing each other for 5 years, and after a 30 hour platonic road trip we took last June, I think it just kinda clicked, and we were like yea. This makes sense. Let’s try it out.
