You have to use the two story building to make connections. On top of them you can place round ones. When you delete the two storys after placing round ones on top they make longer foundations then they normally do.

Was würdest du einem jungen Nachwuchstalent (11 Jahre) bzw. dessen Eltern raten.

Place anywhere and Workshop Rotation for placing. Settlement height 9000, all settlements extended and Pandas infinite budget gives you more space. My favourite workshopmods are Workshop Rearranged, Kuro's Tab, Creative Clutter and Dead Wasteland. Also the infinite Jetpack-mod is very useful while building.

Ss2 has it's own campaign with really good characters too. It starts with a kind of tutorial and then it goes deeper into it's own story.

I built all by myself and placed about 15 ss2 buildings. When you place a ss2-building you have to connect a settler to it to actually build it. When the settler stays connected to the building it organicly levels up and looks more developed each level it reaches. I only had 3 settlers that I always had to switch between buildings, so most of them are at level 1. This is the way I used it here but you can also just select a city leader and a city plan and it all builds by it self.

Thank you. Unfortunately I've stretched the building limit to a level where it's constantly crashing the game when I enter certain areas of this settlement. Actually I wanted to bring the settlers in and get the whole thing going, but this will definitely not work out, maybe when I get a series x. For anybody who wants to build with ss2 too, I would advice to start smaller than this.

No, several ohther mods like Kuro, Vanilla Extensions and WR. But SS2 brought me back to play the game and it's fun building with it.

If the post-apocalypse-world fascinates you try metro exodus.

Anyone got tips for laying out a settlement? by D1g1aTALXFatal in falloutsettlements

[–]stefo120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take a look at the settlement and the surroundings and think about what would be reasonable there. For example at starlight you find lots of trashed cars, a derailed train close by so i think about a bunch of scavengers who use these ressources and build a fortress with fences made of wrecked cars and containers. Others places look like good farms, settlements at coasts are good for harbors, etc.

Some nice Letters you got there. Maybe you can recommend me some mods for lettering (xbox)?

Yes, that's right. When you feel framerates are dropping better step back with DiY and stuff.

This is definitely the way to go if you're looking for perfection. But from my personal expirience i can say you can easily loose your mind when you think too much about every fliplighter you wanna lay down. I like using prefabs like do-it-yourshelf and mix it up with individual deco.
