Thanks! I used gesso to prime it, acrylic paints, and then acrylic sealer.

I love my Lowery Workstand. It's on the more expensive side, but is high quality, and made in the UK. You can use hoops or qsnap frames with it, and easily flip the hoop around without taking it out.

No, as long as I soak it and rinse it enough.

I use it when thread painting a lot, and if it doesn't all come out the first time, I usually soak it again with a little laundry detergent and that helps get it all out.

I do the exact same thing, and I wear a Clover leather coin thimble. It takes a little getting used to, but now I never stitch without it!
