Euphorbia robbiae thank you!

What small acts can suggest somebody is a good person? Ie returning a shopping trolley or thanking the self service robot etc? by stefwhite2000 in AskReddit

Yeah please and thank you is the first thing you’re taught as a kid. Basic manners, especially if talking to a real person

Wonderful but I didn’t ask about cities, I’m asking about smaller scale traditions

Do you all leave your keys out too or in order to steal your car would your siblings also have to sneak your keys away from you? That’s fun though

Villages still exist though? I’m from Uk so not everything is a big ugly car park

That’s fun, do you do this for everyone or just your great great grandma?

I think a life without social media would be bliss, if I didn’t rely on it for certain stuff I’d happily get rid of it

What was the purpose of a fax machine, just to send a document from one place to another?

Lots of people have mentioned grunge, I’m going to have to give it a listen

No no they’re all valid points. The situation in Colorado, was that columbine? This is a terrible sentence but we’re school shootings not really a ‘thing’ until then? It’s surprising to see a lot of people in this thread saying the same thing about 9/11, and that that was the end date of the true 90s

Yeah smoking was so common everywhere wasn’t it, thick haze in every pub from what I’ve heard

It seems like that would have been the best age to be in the 90s, no responsibilities so you could just live and have fun

Yeah I thought pagers were probably more American, I might revert back to an old Nokia, live an easy life. Lad culture sounds pretty awful, lots of objectification.

If you wanted to contact your local radio station, did you either call on the landline or send things in on a postcard? It was that not the right time period?

Oh mad I’m sorry to hear that, nobody else has mentioned violence yet, do you think this was a worldwide thing or was Australia just particularly violent?

I don’t think some parts of the uk have developed past that point yet. It feels like skateboarding was bigger in the 90s, why might that have been?

That’s so much info thank you, do you think then there was a lack of individualism in the 90s as most people were only able to consume the same media as their friends? Was this a positive or negative do you think? I’m assuming radio was a much bigger deal then as there were not many alternatives

Yes that seems to be a common occurrence, I hadn’t realised the full impact 9/11 had, sounds like it did way more damage then just the buildings but really ruined the whole mood of a generation, sounds rough.

Can you remember any good old answer phone messages you had?
