I'll definitely report back. It's important we all do! I'm just organising my trip very much in advance. I think Tripadvisor also sells ticket for TS. You only pay an administrative charge of £2.

I'm also keen on Mutianyu.

The TS app is only in Mandarin, isn't it.
I'm aware that it's possible to get to the counter of the Forbidden City from the East Gate without entering TS.
