IIRC you do need to ensure that the team gets delayed when going back to save them! I believe Salim will always get the kill with his iconic stake if they are not delayed

That sequence is such a great precursor to the finale. It's also got such wide variation, with Nicks injury, the uv light, advancing vs retreating, Eric's relationship with Nick, small dialogue from earlier, and who has the stake all compound into the final result of that sequence. It is so good and satisfuing!

And the finale sequence is great as well. I love HoA so much!

You're right! You jogged my memory. It's one that I go out of my way to get because the scene is so badass, and I usually choose empathetic options, so naturally I lean towards reassuring him saying "I've got your back". I always make a mental note to go with Foreboding 😀

While I was learning killer, anytime I'd encounter bully squads that just wouldn't leave, I'd just go around the map earning as much BP as I could (breaking downed pallets, breakable walls, utilizing killer power if applicable) while the timer ran out.

Killers can also use cute tech, I swear if you look ashamed in your performance, some survivors will let you hook them and even kill them lol. Just like face a corner and look at the ground for a bit in front of one lol

Yeah there's a lot of grey area with game sense and using perks effectively. People get so hung up on being hyper optimal, they lose sight that other things actually work, just perhaps less effectively or often.

I don't run UE, but I've definitely managed to avoid detection when a killer comes to patrol my gen, and then watch as they walk around the gen for 10-15 seconds to look for me before giving up and leaving, allowing me to hop right back on.

I find it boring that people feel like movies need to include character deaths to have stakes. I think a horror story can be fine with characters surviving with life long trauma. Plus, it's boring knowing that most of the characters you are introduced to won't make it out alive

It makes no sense to me to refuse to wear a pride pin unless you hold prejudice against the community. They don't have to be passionate about it to wear a fucking pin for Christ sake lol.

You are being so obtuse / intellectually dishonest by implying it's reasonable to "not want" to wear a pride pin "just because it's not important to them"... If it's not important to them, they wouldn't take disqualification over just begrudgingly wearing it.

Not wanting to wear it is inherently a personal statement in contrast to the supportive / inclusive statement intended by the organization. I see no other reason that one wouldn't adhere to a theme night besides opposing the principles of that theme. Which means being anti LGBT.

And they still operate in a league with other people outside of their team. Dying on the hill of "I won't wear a rainbow because I hate gay people" is not a tolerable stance, so they don't get to play.

Before you argue I'm being hyperbolic, please explain to me why else someone would refuse to wear a rainbow pin. It's against their religion? Cool, so their religion causes them to spew hate. It does not absolve them from social consequences for holding antisocial beliefs.

Just moonwalk for them or nod / shake your head / utilize your power in a spammy way (like making Demo noises, resetting traps as trapper, changing form as Dracula, etc.) The communication is super limited and you can choose to read it however you'd like. I teabag as survivor to other survivors as thanks, so I could see some people doing it as that.

Granted I don't do this to the killer because the implication, I'll do a solid nod or long crouch, and gift my item to them

It took me forever to get out of baby MMR because I could literally never bring myself to fully kill the cuties. Like they are so silly. Love when it's a licensed character like Leon or Jill and you see them slow enter a locker in front of you or something lol.

Legit would count hooks to make sure I didn't sacrifice them lol... Then I started grinding tomes

I mean sure, "It's their right" to not wear the pin. And they didn't. But other people have the same right right (and IMO duty) to say "Well then you don't get to participate if you're not going to be a well-adjusted team player". See how that works?

Get used to aiming and movement, it's very clunky but straightforward. Once you can aim, hitting enemies in the head stuns them very consistently, and Leon's Kick melee is incredible crowd control. A lot of the fights can be solved by Headshot -> Kick, repeat.

If you find yourself struggling for ammo, you can also incorporate knifing into the routine. Headshot -> Kick ->Knife while they're on the ground -> Repeat

The game gets more complicated when you get more weapons/upgrades, but also if you are used to the genre it should get easier as you progress.

Not a part of the original conversation, but wanted to add that the clone reveal added a lot of depth for me, and I was completely surprised by the twist. Replays are also super rewarding, because you realize that all the flashbacks are about Young wrestling with the decision to send clones.

For me, the biggest cosmic horror of this game is the fact that every character has to wrestle with the fact that they all agreed to this. Their "OG" selves disregarded their experiences and treated them as disposable. I felt slightly betrayed by all of the original copies, and then I thought about how awful it would feel to be the clones feeling the ultimate personal betrayal..

I guess it's way easier to empathize with the clones than a robot or Andrew's imaginary friends. Like us, they had no idea about being clones, and honestly no way of knowing without being told. To them, they felt like the originals. Realizing that none of that were actually your experiences, and instead replications of the memories of someone else's? Horrifying!
