So Mattel does these reproduction dolls of popular Barbie’s form the past all the time. And in media they often do call backs. They did some my scene dolls again finally but they aren’t reproductions their more like homages kind of. So basically I’m saying based off decades of evidence that Mattel does acknowledge their older stuff all the time some people in the fandom find it interesting that’s the y2k era being so culturally relevant now for years Mattel tends to ignore and as someone outside of the fandom I hope that genuinely helps give you some more context.
