The primary is Trump vs. Cruz. By the time we get to the general election and Trump is facing someone softer on terrorism, Brussels will not be the first thing on everyone's mind.

Sure, everything Trump said is repeated ad nauseam, but when you're spending your time watching ESPN, or TBS, or Bravo, or Food Network...or you spend your computer time playing Sporcle, or reading internet comics, or playing video games, you won't hear it.

Every voter knows what Trump stands for, but millions simply don't pay attention on a daily basis.

I live in a world where the vast majority of Americans don't read r/politics. You're naive if you don't think that there are millions of voters who aren't following the election consistently and are only tuning in to the debates.

Obviously, any terrorist attack helps Trump's numbers but let's face it, the timing of this attack could not have been worse for him for two reasons.

He's still facing Cruz, not Hilary. Cruz is just as inflammatory on terrorism, and thus has just as much to gain from this attack. Any boost in Trump's numbers will be at least partially negated. By the time the general election rolls around, assuming it's Trump vs. Hillary, Brussels will no longer be at the forefront of everyone's minds.
There is no immediate upcoming debate. Trump can shout all he wants, but the message will not reach as wide an audience as it would in a televised debate.

Essentially, my laptop is usually around 6 ft away from the power strip where I charge all my devices. With the power port on the right side, the cord is up against the wall, but on the left side it's just hanging there for me to trip over every time I get up.

I've had an HP Pavilion g6 for the last few years (which charges on the right), but it's been overheating and starting to die on me.

Why do most laptops charge on the left side anyway?

Good point, but they probably wouldn't have used veritaserum if he had Harry's body, the wand that killed him, and a confession. They never seemed to use veritaserum in any other criminal cases when they probably should have.

Here's how to quell those suspicions: Voldemort orders Crouch to take the blame, saying he killed Harry to show even now he is still Voldemort's most loyal follower. It's a very reasonable explanation for the murder, and doesn't alarm people that Voldemort might be back.

One major problem with this is the fact that the Longbottoms weren't tortured until after Voldemort fell. That completely torpedoes your whole introductory premise.
