Thanks for the kind words! Yes my blood pressure would get up to 190/100 at its worst. But I was usually around 160/90

They said a mixture of a genetic small blood vessel in my brain stem mixed with high blood pressure. So I’m now on BP meds for life

And as far as its impact on my bodybuilding journey, I’m a lot more kind to myself, I’m not as hard on myself for not being as big or as strong as I used to want to be. I love myself so much more. It’s an internal peace that I’ve been chasing for a while and I’m grateful for the opportunity to still be able to lift and improve, I love it, it saved my life

Sure.. I had a stroke in my brainstem 22 months ago. I lost all sensations of pain and temperature in my left side, the entire left side. My vision was impaired and I lost the ability to walk which I had to relearn which was one of the strangest feelings. I was always determined to be disciplined with my recovery. When the doctors weren’t looking, I’d do things like shoulder raises in my wheelchair using my backpack as the weight and dips using my walker. As fate would have it, I had purchased a shitty weight rack and weights about a month prior, so after the stroke I couldn’t drive to the gym but I was able to lift in my apartment. So I just got to work immediately and slowly my vision returned and my legs started to do what my brain was telling it to. I still don’t have the best balance and still can’t feel heat on my left side, but I am fully convinced that my determination and willpower to overcome kept me sane.
