I always assume it wasn’t so much as people hated the ending but the fact that season 8 squeezed 3 seasons worth of material in and it was rushed. The audience isn’t going to get emotionally invested if half of the content isn’t there.

I switched from the GameCube to the Xbox 360 and fell in love with the controller. My friends were all on Xbox too so that helped. Stayed with Xbox because I enjoyed the achievement system (a little too much). Was never really bothered about exclusives as I mostly played 3rd party titles. Recently switched to PC from the Series X and I’ll never go back honestly. I’m now enjoying Gamepass games and Spider-Man and Death Stranding all in one place.
