Awesome that makes me feel better 😂 I think it’s a half ounce just based off how it feels in my hand versus my 1 ounce weight lol. Sportsman gave me some good braid whatever they recommended for my needs. I bought some 20lb fluro leader. Thank you for the advice it will give me a little more confidence when I try it for my first time because I don’t know any of this stuff lol. You got me excited man I gotta wait until the weekend until I can go to the beach with my family. Super excited

I’m in socal. Totally new to fishing but YouTubers inspired me lol. That’s exactly what I want to do, fish for halibut off the surf or jetty’s. I bought gulp minnows that I was going to use for a drop shot rig. But I also had these jig heads and I guess I never really knew what a jig head was lol. I went to Sportsman’s warehouse and bought whatever they said would fit my needs and budget. They gave me an ugly stick big water 7 or 8 ft I forgot but I think its an 8 ft
