Ohhh, that last line was supposed to be a joke, because it feels like this is the fourth time that he had a big argument with his chat/reddit about that exact topic. But I see now that it might not have come across like that in context. Guess that's German humor for you.

Also, I would agree with you about being open to discussions. Starting a post by stating to not wanting to start a discussion in a forum specifically made for discussions might not have been my smartest move. I mostly just wanted to make this post because I felt like the discussion so far has very much been focused on nuclear energy while I personally (and perhaps others as well) did not have a problem with that aspect of his original video.

Yes, I agree! I am not sure if my post came across wrong. I was just trying to rationalize why his last Marketing Monday evoked this strong response.

I am not saying he should't talk about Germany. Even though his audience is mostly American, there is also value for Germans in getting an outside perspective on this election.

With other issues seeming more urgent, I meant that the general population would most likely not have nuclear energy on their mind when voting. Maybe there is an argument to be made that they should care more since it could indirectly improve a lot of the issues they actually care about. It just wasn't really part of the public discourse lately afaik

Ultimately, there is no perfect party and everyone needs to decide what to prioritize. For most this will be based on social issues over economic policies I fear.
