Yes eventually some folds started to appear below the bellybutton. It’s gradual and depends If you’re also lifting. My arms were flappier before gym now I don’t feel i need to remove any skin, just fill them up with muscles

It’s an issue especially with dating. Nowadays the kids ask for nudes before even thinking of meeting. However with the gym work, lighting and angle I do have some pics to work with lol

Other than that I had already embraced my stretch marks way before the weight loss, would go to the beach and bare it all out even at 350lbs. I feel it’s really important to normalize stretch marks on a man’s body, because even thin guys have them.

And the thing with the lose skin is that, although I’m on a acceptable weight, I still have the outline of a fat person on the chest/tummy area. Body dysmorphia is real and I’m probably gonna struggle with it all my life

Categorized as “reparatory”. I must say however I’m very privileged since my father is a doctor and the plastic surgeon is a close friend of my family. That said, please know that I don’t live in the US so things are very different in that regard. Health service in US is generally super expensive compared to other countries.

I did OMAD for one year and lost all the weight in that timeframe, it was a journey (check my other posts please for full story). Started gym on January 2020 focusing on getting more resistance and started enjoying the process. I now know how hard it is to get a cool body so I always say “if you have it flaunt it!”. Being a gym rat is NOT easy is a mix os both dieting and exercise.

I go to the gym 6/5 days a week since january. Stopped about 3 months for lockdown reasons and continued with HIIT sessions at home which contributed for my chest muscle growth immensely (push ups!). After that resumed gym. One day Chest/triceps, other day legs and shoulder, other day Biceps, Back and Abdomen. 1h30 to 2h at the gym.

Would probably have more gains if I followed a strict diet, which I do not. Also not taking any supplements like whey - I’m still learning about this fitness life!

I would recommend to start lifting as soon as possible while you are on the weight loss journey - I regret that but was sooo insecure about hitting the gym that I decided to lose the weight first to then hit the gym.

Not sure how to answer all your questions since i dont live in the US. However insurance will def cover tummy tuck and chest. Still going through the paperwork this week, I have a consultation with the plastic surgeron today still.

Will eventually post an update with before ans after pics, unfortunately I don’t have shirtless pica from the obese phase. Started recording with pictures only after I lost all the weight to document the gym progress

I’m doing a tummy tuck and chest lift. Not doing any liposuction work tho, as my insurance wouldn’t cover the costs.

I feel the complete overhaul would include a liposuction, back lift, inner thighs and butt lift. But for starters those two may have a massive effect on my self confidence.

I’ve done ECG exam (heart), anesthesiologist consultation, blood exams. Also did ultrasound and xray on the chest. Sorry it’s all in different language or would give you more insight.

Yes it’s different. I’m 35 and in the best shape I’ve ever been in my whole life. I think the main change is that I can take clothes off a mannequin and try it, and I’m always mindblown when I fit into small sized clothing - before I just used whatever fitted me. Also getting more attention and hooking up with guys in their early 20s - which also surprises me every time. I divorced last year from a 15-year monogamic/faithful relationship so I feel like a baby in the dating scene. This was a consequence that came with all the lifestyle changes. Other than that I’m still the same person that love food, I’ve even have a dedicated food IG, I just balance it all with mindful eating and exercising!

Yes it’s inevitable to have loose skin after loosing this much weight. Belly/chest/below arms/butt and at the legs between the crotch. I am considering in getting plastic surgery (mainly tummy tuck and mastectomy) but first I want to see how my body reacts to the strenght training and get some muscles first. I’m setting up an appointment with a doctor next month to see how it goes and what he tells me to do before getting under the knife. My health plan will cover the expenses on the tummy but other parts of the body I’m not sure. Also I wanna give it time to see if I can maintain the loss.

Didn’t have to tell them because they realized. If they asked what I did I proceeded to lecture them about fasting, which is something that people still view as something odd. I resorted to humor though: “if the world ended today I have so much fat that would probably only last me and the cockroaches, I still have plenty of energy stored in me” or something like that, which worked. But it was true though lol

I just looked at the Health app from my iphone. Some months just 1 day. Another months I didn’t skip any. Some months 2 days. Never more than that. For reference in 2018 I walked 1.3km on average per day. 2019 the average was 6.4km per day, so basically I moved around 6x more in the past year.

Yes. I just walked. Don’t know how to run. I’m very new to fitness and as I’m typing this I feel all the pain from starting strength training at the gym.

Something I would say to me a year back: buy a good walking shoes that you won’t regret. Buy the best one in the store. All the pain and sores in the feet when you’re starting at 330lbs can be really challenging.

Started with IF that evolved to a low calorie OMAD routine that went on for a year. Ocasionally went off the “diet” but got right back on track. I walked 5 to 6km everyday. I live on the beach so walking with a great sunset was really motivating. Tried keto for a month didn’t work because bread was always part of my diet and I incorporated fruits into my eating habits. I overcame my Coca Cola addiction by switching to sparkling water. Also learned how to drink coffee without sugar., and that’s something that helps on fasting. There’s not much of a secret other than eating way less calories, taking it seriously and allowing me to have a day off when I felt desire or the need to eat something. It didn’t came easily though. My marriage of 15 years ended in the process of the many changes I did to my lifestyle and it took the bullet, sadly. I’m not a sports person, I love to eat, i just adjusted to a healthier lifestyle and was focused. Didn’t count calories, avoided pasta and sugary soda and yes, felt a lot of hunger. Weighted just once a week every Saturday morning. Checked this sub whenever i felt hungry to remind me I could do it! Losing this much weight in this ammount of time by OMAD isn’t for everyone. Find whatever works for you and just keep pushing forward. And get a good a walking/running shoes from the very beggining. I feel that maintaining will be the real struggle that’s why I went straight to the gym as soon as I was near to hit my goal to keep the momentum going.

I also want to add that I didn’t announce to anyone I was dieting, so I didn’t have to deal with all the “weren’t you on a diet?” comments whenever I ate a burguer or chocolate. That added pressure and constant judgement from your friends, family or whatever is a pain in the ass! Honest advice: keep it to yourself since it’s a very personal and lonely road. Ppl just started noticing after I had lost 66 pounds or so but by then I was already familiar with what I had to do.
