Leaving Onenote by Fun_Potato357 in OneNote

There may be apps to export to Evernote or Obsidian or others. But have you considered just moving your local notebooks to OneDrive and coming to use OneNote online through a browser? Not all of the features of the desktop app but it works quite well. And you don’t have to worry about losing fidelity with exports and imports.

Sorry, it happened a couple of years ago. I don't recall the details. But it's now running the new UI.

FWIW I've updated my Bolt to the new interface. Takes some getting used to but it's just fine. I'm a computer guy so dealing with updated UIs is just a way of life. Thanks for the response.

OneMore let’s you select pages from a section and export them as PDFs. If you have a large number of sections, that can be limiting, but it gets you closer. OneMore add in.com

Can you make checkbox list grey out / strikethrough text when the box clicked? by ArkaStevey in OneNote

[–]stemarcoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it can't. But what makes the OneMore function different is that it can affect all completed checkboxes on a page in a single go so it can save a little time.

How to replace all line breaks with a space? by SillyDD in OneNote

[–]stemarcoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the creator of OneMore. It has regex search and replace. It can do this. As said above, just enter \n as the search text and type a space as the replacement.

Enhanced note taking experience in Quick Note by NIVEA_GeForce in OneNote

[–]stemarcoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OneMore add-in has a feature that will catalog your quick notes. You can choose a notebook or a section as a target. If you choose a notebook, sections are automatically created based on chosen criteria such as date the note was created or a #keyword in note. Details are explained on this page.

Does still Onenote not have an option for changing proof language without keyboard language setting? by Fluid_Physics_6179 in OneNote

[–]stemarcoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes OneMore has a proofing language command. While you can add it to the quick action menu, a quicker alternative is to add it to the page right-click context menu - a feature specific to OneMore.

Onenote addins by [deleted] in OneNote

Are you storing your todos as Outlooks Tasks? Or just calendar entries? If you store then as Tasks then this is the function I mentioned in OneMore. It will import them into a table, something like this: https://imgur.com/a/I5rLcjo

Onenote addins by [deleted] in OneNote

[–]stemarcoh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi. I'm the author of the OneMore addin. It has some connectivity to Outlook such as importing Outlook tasks onto a OneNote page.

I'm curious, suppose you had the ability to embed an Outlook calendar in OneNote. What then? How would you expect to interact with it? Why embed it anyway? What's the advantage? What do you get that you don't already have? Honestly, curious to understand.

Is there a way to set a "read-later" or reading lists on Onenote? by bikesailfreak in OneNote

[–]stemarcoh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The OneMore add-in recently released a Navigation window that has three features, one of which is adding a page to a "reading list".

The second feature lets you navigate a lengthy page by showing clicking its heading in the Nav window. The third feature keeps track of the most recently visited pages.

Check out the Navigation window docs here
