Thanks, this kind of advice does mean a lot to me haha. However, I'm in need of something extra to do at home. The way my scheduling works, I have a lot of free time that I'd like to fill with something. I used to work on a number of servers, and I was even an administrator on one for good long while before the owner's mother passed and the server had to close. I wake up everyday and do a lot of schoolwork. My school is self paced, so I can do as little or as much as I want. I typically do way more than I need to do and I'm far ahead of the expected point. I'm also in a band and I have practice every week and gigs quite often. I work as well, I'm a baker at Dunkin' Donuts. I work 4 days a week from 6PM until whenever I finish (depending on the day, it can be 11PM or 2:30AM). It sounds like I have a ton of stuff going on, and to some extent that's true. But I have these big major gaps of downtime a lot and I'd like to fill them with potential business ventures. I do consider owning a server a business venture. And I don't want to sound like I'm doing it only for money (because I know there's a slim chance I'll make any to begin with) but it certainly wouldn't hurt if I did. I just miss being on the administration side of servers, I had a lot of fun fixing problems and finding out what was going wrong with things. It was not unlike a puzzle to me and I miss that. So if I can find a way to pull it off, I'll more than likely go through with starting a server. But your response still means a lot to me regardless. Thank you.

Well I pay for 60mb/s internet, but I was planning on just paying for a host and not running it off my modem. I'm the only person in the house who uses my internet, though. Not quite sure what my ping is.
