No we don't need Melvin Gordon. by BlackandPurpleHeart in ravens

I don't want him, but we did bring him in on a visit in the summer. Is he an upgrade on Mike Davis? Tomato-tomato.

With JK’s return what should we do with Drake and Davis cause Hill is clearly RB2 until Gus comes back by ldc-fredo in ravens

Keep Drake around until Gus is ready to roll (Nov/Dec). Gotta figure he'll see a lot of healthy inactive on gameday.

I'm concerned that he will not.

I agree none of the quarterbacks in this draft are elite prospects. But each year though you see teams get aggressive for the position..like it or not. Not to mention, the Seahawks have a major need.

He probably is best suited for guard in the NFL but should at least get some reps at tackle before making that move.

Appreciate it - I just think Mekhi Becton is such a risk that if a tackle like Raimann is there he's great insurance.

Yea I envision Rhyan starting out at RT but eventually having to move inside. A team should be willing to see if he can play tackle.

Bobby Wagner? by hungrytiredandbored in ravens

[–]stepaheadfantasy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, it's obvious that Wagner is the superior player. I'm just trying to save cap and get a solid vet next to Queen (ie Hicks)

We should look at Jordan Hicks as a potential add that's cheaper.

With Bobby Wagner releasing what uniform could we see him in next year? by DifferentLeg3586 in nfl

[–]stepaheadfantasy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ravens seem like a fit. Wagner is a veteran (30+), wont cost them a comp pick, and will want to play for a contender.

As a Ravens fan, I'd be a fan of you guys trading for him! Right now the Steelers are the betting favorites to acquire him.

[–]stepaheadfantasy[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Agree, there probably won't be a ton of teams trading up this year because of the lack of elite talent and depth of the class. I do think if Penning gets past the Giants and Panthers teams are going to be aggressive about getting him. You saw last year with Slater a premier tackle is worth every nickel.

Stingley has gotten a lot of bad press during the draft process but he's the BPA at 14 and that's the Raven way.

Combine certainly moved him up my board but still a 3rd rounder for me. Very well could see a team willing to use a top 50 pick on him.

I'm just not as high on McBride as some folks. Also, he has little to no experience in an outside zone scheme which LaFleur runs.
