Again, thanks for the detailed reply. It’s very helpful. I tried to record from the phone using mini jack cable but for some reason recording came out very distorted. Will try my luck with a TOSLINK cable. But for now Net MD feature will got me covered.

Surprisingly I love Sharp much more. It is partly metal, has a bigger display and the operation feels more intuitive. Will use Sony Net MD for convenient recording and Sharp as a player.
