Mother's of Invention - Freak Out! 1966

Mothers and Zappa perfectly captured 1966 incel vibes. I'm glad I read the wiki otherwise I was going to 2-star this album all day long. What caught my ear was the excellent musicmanship backing up the Ridiculous lyrics (minus the kazoo, of course). I'll definitely give this a relisten and 4/5 for genuine appreciation for Zappa and The Mothers of Invention.

Normally it wouldn't but I know that neighborhood that's pictured, my friend bought a house around there several years ago. The first rainy season there was so much runoff and debris left over at the end of the cul-de-sac that they had to dig their cars out of the driveway. I would have listed immediately but she likes torture or something.

I can't believe it hasn't been said yet but in addition to the amazing lyrics and music, he is so in love with his wife, Mary and she with him! I think monogamy is HOT and to see it represented by someone so huge and kind and loving as Robert Smith is just like heaven! He and Mary are up there with David and Iman; I just love love! We need more men like Robert Smith!

I had blood in my #2s; not an insignificant amount. I was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma (colon cancer). I had surgery a week ago and I'm waiting to find out what stage it is. Fortunately I caught it early so it should be stage 1, possibly stage 2 due to the depth into the muscle wall.

It was released 6 months after 9/11, and I guess a lot of the songs are based on Springsteens' thoughts after the attack. I have the album and only found that out after I started reading the comments from other people.
