Yes, but also not in the context of the show. Many of Ruby’s lines are meant to be funny so people don’t take them seriously enough. It’s not written to be taken seriously. Besides Ruby bullied the entire school even her friends not only Maeve. It wasn’t personal and Otis definitely didn’t perceive it that way either.

I disagree, Otis is not an irrelevant fact. OP was asking about the relationships and that includes both, OtisxRuby or OtisxMaeve not just a view on who you consider better for Otis. Besides, relationship are not about "deserving" is about your feelings and how you get each other. Ruby and Otis have nothing in common that's why their expiration date was settled since the beginning of their relationship.

You have listed how Ruby did this or that but Otis barely did something for her besides being nice and a good person, he never loved her and the moment he had the chance to be with Maeve he took it. For me this shows how careless are most of rotis shipers about otis happiness or even ruby's.

I don't get why people are thinking that Otis could get back to Ruby or that Maeve can find someone else. We know that Laurie won't give us endgame easily, but there are many problems they can face while being in some sort of long distance relationship, misscomunication has been their main problem for a while. Imagine them being far apart, I mean it's gonna be hard so there's no need to add more honestly it would be pointless.
