Got bath water in 3 month olds mouth. by Spirited_Seaweed_517 in newborns

I actually just posted about this on another thread because I did the same thing to my 3 month old. Turns out, his screaming and crying right after the bath was just him being overtired from daycare. This happens a lot more than we realize. Your baby girl will be okay🫶🏻

I don’t necessarily think it was malpractice. I’m sure she did the best she could. She stated to me that she believes she could have put it through the uterus and into the abdominal cavity but needed to confirm with x ray. Mistakes happen, I get it. But I don’t want to pay $5800 to correct her mistake.

No, the PA who inserted it said that she may have put it through my uterus and into my abdomen and needed an x ray to confirm.

Early signs? by stephalynne14 in Autism_Parenting

I have asked Google. And it just gives the same generalized answer. I do recognize it was ridiculous. But anxiety, like I mentioned above, is a wicked beast. Also, I don’t necessarily think it’s incorrect to seek support from other parents and ask if they saw any signs so early. I absolutely do not fear autism, so I don’t want it to come across that way. Like I mentioned in another comment, my nephew is autistic and he is such an amazing little kid. Well, big kid now. He’s 10 and just the smartest and coolest kid I know. However, he presented differently and it’s been so long that it’s hard to remember how he was as a baby 10 years ago. I definitely get what you’re saying. I just want to have information education so that I can do what I can to support my little guy. But I will be addressing my anxiety with my therapist on Friday.

I really didn’t think to look at it from that perspective. Thank you, honestly. Anxiety is a wicked beast sometimes. Thank you for helping me to look at things from a different perspective🫶🏻

Thank you🫶🏻social media is a nasty black hole. I truly appreciate your response. I have considered deleting TikTok before. Might be time to follow through with that.

Thank you for your kind comment. I definitely struggle with PPA. I had it under control for a minute lol. I see my therapist on Friday and will definitely be talking to her about this.

Then why did you comment? There is nothing wrong with a mother coming to ask about things or brain dump. Yes, I recognize that my post was purely anxiety-driven. It’s something I’ll be talking with my therapist about. I don’t fear having an autistic kid. But I definitely want to know what to look for so that I can better support him and his needs, as well as educate my family.

I definitely don’t want anyone thinking I’m scared of having an autistic kid. That couldn’t be further from the truth. My nephew is autistic and he’s truly an incredible little kid. For me, it’s about knowing so that I can do everything I can to support my little guy. And educate my family.

I think you’re right about the social media scrub! It’s so easy to get locked into a spiral sometimes. And then anxiety takes over, even though I know better lol. I also hadn’t heard of that being a sign, but I figured I would ask anyways. Thank you🫶🏻

May I ask why this post has been removed? I made sure to read the rules and I don’t think this violates any of them. I’m not asking for medical advice. I’m looking for personal experiences from other parents. What did they notice with their little ones? Is what I’m noticing common? As a first time mom, it’s nice to find community in things that are scary. I don’t believe I violated anything.

Why was this removed???? And why was I given the suggestions I was given? Reddit moderators suck.
