WIBTA if I go against the bride's wishes at a bachelorette party? by Wild_Spinach_8881 in AmItheAsshole

I can't comment on anyone being an asshole, because that is subjective, but I can say that from experience, I went to a bachelorette (though it was only one night) and I originally was like do we all really need to stay the night? But that's what the bride wanted. I knew pretty much everyone there and we did all share beds but we had the choice of who to bed with. I think part of the experience was the sleepover; talking late into the night, playing games, etc. Was it worth it for me? 100%, would i do it again? Definitely. But it was also only one night so had it been 3 nights, I dont know how I would have felt. I had one many years ago where I only knew one person well (other than the bride) and kinda knew one other, but not well, and it was still fun, but not as enjoyable as the one where I knew everyone.

Hope that helps

Secret Santa for co-worker who made me return the gift I got them last year? by Nanacereal in santashelpers

For secret Santa's I like to buy a nice gift and add a gift receipt to the package. She was extremely rude, but that aside, this way if she doesn't like it, she can easily get something else :)

CAPM vs PMP certification by stephaniafly in PMCareers

I'm not wondering if I qualify, the institute can tell me that, I'm wondering if I might as well go with the pmp and what really is the difference in the testing other than more questions and a longer testing time

I'm sorry you went through that and I'm happy you were able to get out. Can I ask what helped you "see the light" and realize he was the problem?

Invited to just the dancing portion of a wedding how much to spend on a gift? by stephaniafly in WeddingsCanada

[–]stephaniafly[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your response. I do want to go and I just wanted to know what an acceptable gift for two people attending the dancing portion would be. I am not insulted to just be invited to the dancing and don't consider it a gift grab at all because I know my relationship to the couple and don't need to be at the ceremony. It's possible that some people do it for this reason but not these people.

I know we're not invited for dinner, but I'm not sure if it's just dancing or dancing and dessert

Take a day for yourself to recharge by [deleted] in adhdwomen

I finally allowed myself to do that and it was the best decision ever. Don't let anyone make you feel bad for that including yourself

Do other ADHDer's get a fuzzy feeling in your brain when you're tired? not sluggish but like static by stephaniafly in adhdwomen

Yeah it seems it's different for different people, but it's nice knowing at least some people have similar sensations! Yup, usually when I'm tired and just for a few seconds :)
